Membership terms
Document owner: International Society of Bio Longevity Dentistry
Version: v0.9 — legal review draft
Proposed effective date: [DD Month YYYY]
Primary audience: International applicants, including EEA, UK, USA, India and other jurisdictions.
Important: This draft must be reconciled with the final Vereinsstatuten before use. The statutes govern the legal membership relationship where they take precedence. The membership process should not go live until legal counsel confirms the final text, the membership categories and the consumer-law checkout flow.
1. Scope and character of membership
These Membership Terms govern applications for, admission to and participation in the International Society of Bio Longevity Dentistry (the “Society”).
The Society is an independent, non-profit association rooted in dentistry and medicine and open to science, entrepreneurship, technology, hospitality and other responsible longevity contributors. It is not a clinical provider, a referral network, a product seller, a certification guarantee or a paid endorsement platform.
Membership creates a Society relationship only after the Society accepts the application under the current Statutes and confirms activation in writing. An application, expression of interest or payment instruction alone does not create a right to admission unless the final Statutes expressly provide otherwise.
The Society’s frameworks, including the Bio Longevity Dental Score®, are voluntary tools for dialogue, documentation, research and responsible innovation. They are not compulsory protocols and do not replace individual professional judgment, medical or dental assessment, diagnosis or treatment planning.
2. Who may apply
The Society welcomes people and organisations that want to make a constructive contribution to long-term human longevity, including:
- dentists, oral-health professionals and physicians;
- researchers, study centres and academic institutions;
- therapists, prevention professionals and allied medical disciplines;
- founders, entrepreneurs, technology and AI contributors;
- responsible industry partners and sponsors;
- hospitality leaders and destinations;
- established societies, non-profit institutions and educational organisations.
Professional field, nationality, country of residence, gender, ethnic background or belief do not determine eligibility. Admission, rights and duties remain subject to the Statutes, suitability for the selected category, the Community Code and applicable law.
3. Membership categories and proposed rules
The following structure is recommended. Whether these are legal membership classes or only public recognition/designations must match the final Statutes.
3.1 Founding Council — limited, appointment-based
Purpose. A limited working body of recognised contributors who help shape open frameworks, consensus work, review principles and evidence processes.
Admission. By invitation or nomination, documented conflict-of-interest review and formal appointment under the Statutes. It is never sold and cannot be acquired by payment.
Rights. Council workspaces and review rights only to the extent expressly granted by the Statutes, Council rules and a written appointment. A Council designation does not create a medical, scientific or commercial endorsement.
Fee proposal. No separate Council fee. A Council contributor who also wishes to hold a Member or Founding Member status is subject to the applicable membership contribution unless the Board approves a documented exception.
Term / removal. [recommended: two-year appointment, renewable once]; early removal or suspension only under the Statutes, Community Code and fair process.
3.2 Founding Member — annual Founding Member membership
Purpose. Recognition for individual members who support the Society at its founding moment and wish to be named in the Founding Record and Directory, subject to their consent.
Contribution. €1,900 per membership year. The annual renewal, renewal notice, cancellation method, payment timing and any applicable consumer-law information must be clearly displayed before payment.
Recommended included benefits.
- Member access for the relevant membership year from activation;
- consent-based Founders / Patrons recognition and Directory profile;
- the Bio Longevity Dental Score® Whitepaper;
- Member pricing and priority access for Co-Creation 2027 and Longevity Smile, subject to capacity and separate event terms;
- access to The Longevity Bridge® · Quarterly Brief and the Society Community once operational;
- eligibility to submit ideas, courses, speeches and contributions through the applicable review process.
Not included. A Founding Member contribution does not buy additional voting rights beyond the ordinary-member rights set out in the Statutes, Council membership, clinical endorsement, certification, research authorship, product approval, speaking engagements, event tickets, investor rights or any tax-deductible donation status.
Renewal. The Founding Member status and annual contribution renew only in the manner transparently stated in the checkout and membership terms. Any change to the annual contribution or scope of benefits must be communicated before the next membership year.
3.3 Member — annual membership
Purpose. The standard participation route for individual contributors.
Contribution. €190 per membership year [confirm whether VAT is included, excluded or not applicable].
Proposed benefits.
- participation in the Society Community once operational;
- access to The Longevity Bridge® · Quarterly Brief;
- Member pricing for Co-Creation 2027, Longevity Smile and selected Academy offers, subject to availability and separate terms;
- optional consent-based Directory profile;
- eligibility to contribute questions, ideas and structured feedback within Society processes;
- access to certification courses only if and when released, with separate course terms.
3.4 Organisation / Institution — only if the Statutes permit legal-person membership
Recommendation. Do not activate a generic organisation membership checkout until the Statutes expressly allow juristic persons and define their voting, representation and termination rules.
If approved, use a separate written Institutional Participation Agreement. It should identify the organisation, an authorised representative, named users, price, member rights, directory visibility, sponsorship boundaries and data-processing roles. One organisation must not automatically receive multiple votes or unlimited individual accounts without a precise statutory and contractual basis.
Events and sponsorship. Participation in member events is a membership benefit only. It does not include exhibition space, a booth, stage time, logo placement, attendee-data access or sponsor visibility. Any presence of this kind at Co-Creation 2027 or another Society event requires a separately contracted sponsorship or exhibitor package, subject to its own terms and conflict-of-interest review.
3.5 Professional profiles are not legal classes
Labels such as Dentistry, Medicine, Science, Enterprise, Hospitality, Technology or Institution are audience pathways and Directory filters. They do not create different legal rights unless the Statutes explicitly say so.
4. Application, admission and activation
Recommended phase-1 process
- The applicant submits an application / interest registration. No payment is taken at this stage.
- The Society confirms receipt and gives access to the current Statutes, Membership Terms, Privacy Notice and Community Code on a durable medium or in a downloadable, versioned form.
- The Board or designated admission body decides on the application in accordance with the Statutes.
- If accepted, the applicant receives an acceptance email, an invoice or secure payment link, the document versions accepted and any consumer information required by law.
- Membership becomes active only after the Society’s written acceptance and cleared payment, unless the Statutes define another lawful rule.
This staged approach is strongly recommended while the Member Portal is being built. It avoids creating an accidental immediate digital-service contract before the legal documents and access controls are in place.
Acceptance record
For every activated membership, the Society should store:
- member ID;
- selected category and admission decision;
- document type, version, language and immutable copy or hash;
- affirmative acceptance timestamp and technical evidence;
- payment/invoice reference and activation date;
- Directory, Community and marketing-consent choices stored separately.
A versioned, auditable acceptance record is good evidence and makes later changes transparent. Online terms must be presented before agreement and made available for saving and reproduction. 1
5. Fees, renewal and cancellation
5.1 Payment
All fees are stated in euros. The checkout/invoice must clearly state the total price, whether VAT is included or not applicable, payment method, membership period and any additional event or course price before a person commits to payment.
5.2 No automatic renewal in phase 1
Recommended initial rule: Membership expires at the end of the agreed 12-month period unless the member accepts a transparent renewal offer. This avoids unclear recurring-payment terms during the launch phase.
A later automatic-renewal model should only be introduced after a jurisdiction-specific consumer-law and payment-flow review. It must disclose recurrence, timing, cancellation method and notice arrangements prominently before purchase.
5.3 Ordinary cancellation
A member may notify the Society in writing at service@isbld.org that they do not wish to renew. With the phase-1 model, the membership ends at the end of the paid membership period without further action.
5.4 Statutory consumer rights
Where a consumer cancellation or withdrawal right applies, the Society will provide the mandatory pre-contract information, model withdrawal form and contract confirmation in the required form. Consumer rights cannot be excluded by these Terms.
For distance contracts with consumers, the FAGG can require pre-contract information, confirmation on a durable medium and a 14-day withdrawal right. Special rules apply when a paid service or digital content begins during that period. 2
5.5 Refunds
Apart from mandatory statutory rights, membership fees and founding contributions are generally non-refundable after activation, except where the Board decides otherwise for fairness, duplicate payment, administrative error or a legal requirement. This rule must be reviewed against the final payment and consumer-law design before publication.
6. Community, Directory and Member Workspace
6.1 Community
Community access is subject to the Community Code and may be moderated. The Society may limit or suspend access for a material breach, safety concern, legal requirement or a pending fair review under the Statutes. A suspension of a digital space does not automatically terminate membership unless the Statutes or a written decision say so.
6.2 Directory
Directory publication is optional. The Society will use separate, granular permission controls for public name, country, organisation, professional field, biography, website, contact route and image. A member may withdraw this visibility consent at any time without losing membership.
6.3 Consensus Score workspace
The future Consensus Score workspace is a protected governance tool. It may record ratings, remarks and change history attributable to a Member ID. It must not be used to upload patient-identifiable case data, medical records, clinical photographs or special-category health data unless a separately approved workflow, legal basis, security model and participant information are in place.
The Society may publish an anonymised or aggregated consensus result only under the applicable Score governance process. Individual remarks and ratings are not automatically public.
7. Conduct, independence and conflicts
Members must:
- act professionally and respect the Community Code;
- state relevant financial, professional, research or personal conflicts before contributing to a review, recommendation, award, consensus process or Council decision;
- never represent personal views, products, services or research as an official Society endorsement without written authorisation;
- avoid misleading health, performance, treatment, diagnosis or longevity claims;
- respect confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property and applicable professional rules;
- refrain from uploading patient-identifiable or otherwise restricted content to general Society systems.
The Society does not sell clinical endorsements. Recognition, Directory visibility, awards, speaker listings and evidence labels are not advertising products and are not granted in exchange for payment.
8. Intellectual property and contributions
A member retains ownership of their pre-existing intellectual property. Membership does not transfer rights in ideas, materials, courses, research, protocols, scores, software, photos or other content.
Before a member contribution becomes an official Society product, publication, training module, Score component or licensed programme, the Society and the contributor must sign a separate written contribution agreement. That agreement must address at least scope of use, attribution, confidentiality, ownership/licence, revenue sharing if any, quality review and withdrawal rights.
9. Health, professional and commercial boundaries
The Society’s materials, community and events are educational and collaborative. They do not create a practitioner-patient relationship or individual medical, dental, legal, tax or investment advice.
Members remain solely responsible for their own professional decisions, services, claims, licenses, insurance, regulatory duties, products, research and local legal compliance. Any commercial partnership, sponsorship or research collaboration requires a separate written agreement and conflict review.
10. Changes to the Terms
The Society may update these Terms where necessary for Statute changes, law, security, operations or the responsible development of the Society. Material changes will be notified on a durable medium before they take effect. A change may not retroactively remove accrued rights or undermine mandatory consumer protections.
11. International members, governing law and mandatory protections
The Society is established in Austria. To the extent permitted by law, these Terms and the membership relationship are governed by Austrian law.
For consumers: This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections that apply under the law of their habitual residence where applicable. The Society will not rely on a contractual clause to remove non-waivable consumer rights. 3
For organisational members and other non-consumer relationships, the competent court at the Society’s registered seat may be agreed only after Austrian counsel confirms that the clause is valid for the relevant contract.
12. Contact and complaints
Membership questions, cancellation notices and complaints: service@isbld.org
Privacy questions: service@isbld.org
Postal address: Jochberger Straße 98, 6370 Kitzbühel, Österreich
The Society voluntarily submits, in relation to consumers, to alternative dispute-resolution proceedings under the Austrian Alternative Dispute Resolution Act (AStG). For online disputes, the designated ADR body is the Internet Ombudsstelle, Ungargasse 64–66/3/404, 1030 Vienna, Austria, https://www.ombudsstelle.at/. For other consumer transactions, the Schlichtung für Verbrauchergeschäfte, Flachgasse 30/2. OG, 1150 Vienna, Austria, https://www.verbraucherschlichtung.at/, is additionally available.
Complaints may first be sent directly to service@isbld.org. Voluntary participation in an ADR proceeding does not limit mandatory consumer rights or access to courts.
Do not include a legacy link to the discontinued EU ODR/OS platform. 4
Required checkout acceptance design
The final member flow should use independent, unticked controls:
[required]I have read and accept the Statutes v[●] and Membership Terms v[●].[required]I acknowledge the Privacy Notice v[●].[required if immediate access/service begins]I expressly request that the digital membership services begin before expiry of the withdrawal period and acknowledge the stated consequences for statutory withdrawal rights.[optional]I consent to my selected Directory details being visible as described in the Directory consent.[optional]I would like to receive The Longevity Bridge® · Quarterly Brief by email. I can withdraw consent at any time.
The final action label must clearly communicate the financial consequence, for example:
Apply for paid membership — €190 per year
The exact button wording and consumer notices require legal review against the chosen application/payment model.
Counsel review questions
- Do the final Statutes permit the three proposed categories and legal-person membership?
- Is the €1,900 Founding Member amount a membership contribution, a sponsorship amount, a donation, or a mixed consideration? What is its VAT and accounting treatment?
- Does the Society review every application before acceptance, or may an applicant be accepted automatically after payment?
- Which countries will receive targeted paid advertising or local-currency checkout?
- Does the Society offer a digital service immediately after payment and, if yes, how will statutory withdrawal/information requirements be implemented?
- Is the proposed Austrian law clause appropriate for the selected markets and consumer profile?
- What is the formal appeal/fair-process procedure for suspension, rejection or expulsion under the Statutes?
